Dr. Steven Katz is the founder of Dental Excellence Advisory and has served a Practice Growth Coach for 20 years. Dr. Katz began his career in oral and maxillofacial surgery, then transitioned to general practice. He is a graduate of Columbia University and the Washington University School of Dental Medicine.
For over 35 years he was the owner of an award-winning complex restorative and cosmetic dental practice in Malverne, Long Island, New York. He has been the team dentist for the NY Jets, an on-air dental consultant for Fox News and an attending at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Katz is a master in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) and a fellow in the International College of Dentistry (FICD). He has also been active in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI).
In 2014 he published the highly acclaimed book, “They Didn’t Teach Us THAT in Dental School,” and in 2015 he was named the Best New Speaker in Dentistry. During the last 10 years Dr. Katz has coached over 160 practices, helping them generate over $300 million in revenue growth. He has delivered over 500 presentations to more than 60,000 dental professionals and continues speaking throughout the United States.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Katz is also a certified personal trainer. He recently returned to competitively rowing, 50 years after participating in college
